Movies in the Park
Park City PRIDE has been providing free cinema entertainment to the Park City community during the summer for over 5 years. PRIDE provides a safe, family-friendly event that brings people together and fosters a sense of community. Each year, neighbors gather at dusk at Hap McLean Park to catch a must-see blockbuster. With their blankets, lawn chairs and snacks, moviegoers of all ages connect with their Park City family and friends. Movies in the Park takes place in June, July and August. Please see the calendar page for specific dates and time.
To combat local hunger, the PRIDE food pantry provides monthly food boxes to Park City families. The food pantry serves 10 – 15 local families each month. In addition to monthly boxes, PRIDE partners with Chisholm Trail Elementary for the Backpack Meal program. The Backpack Meal program provides students with meals during the various school breaks.
The PRIDE Food Pantry is open for distribution on the third Saturday of each month from 1:00-2:30 pm. Food pantry recipients must meet government commodities guidelines and they must be residents of Park City. CLICK HERE for guidelines.
Park City Alive
Every year PRIDE co-sponsors diverse live cultural presentations throughout the city. Presentations vary from theatre productions of famous Shakespeare plays to presentations on quirky Kansas mascots. The goal of Park City Alive is to infuse the community with the enrichment of the arts. Check the listings to see what programs are offered each month.
Beautification of Park City Parks
PRIDE has beautified the city by planting and watering 150 trees along Hydraulic street and the parks. Additionally, PRIDE has provided seal signs to several locations throughout the city. PRIDE continues to maintain the parks during the spring and summer months.
